Keep-It-Simple Accounting Software

This page is intended as a guideline to help you export your bank statements from your bank and import them into Cashbook Complete.  If you get stuck or the information is out-of-date, we recommend that you contact your bank.

ANZ

  1. Logon to internet banking at ANZ
  2. Select the bank account you wish to export data from
  3. Click on the “Export” button (see screenshot)
  4. Select the “Start” and “End” dates
  5. For “File Format”, make sure you select “QIF (dd/mm/yyyy) – Quicken Interchange Format”
  6. Click the “Export” button
  7. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

ASB

  1. Logon to internet banking at ASB
  2. You should see the “Balances” page by default. Click on the name of the bank account you wish to export data from (e.g. Streamline)
  3. In the box above your transactions, enter the “From” and “To” dates for the period you want to include
  4. From the “Export as” dropdown menu, select the “QIF – Quicken” format option (see screenshot)
  5. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

BNZ

  1. Logon to internet banking at BNZ
  2. Click on the name of the bank account you wish to export data from
  3. Click on “More” at the top of the screen and then “Export transactions”
  4. In the popup, select the “QIF” file type by clicking the dropdown arrow beside “Format”
  5. Select the time period by clicking the dropdown arrow beside “Export”
    Click “Export”
  6. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

Heartland

  1. Logon to internet banking at Heartland
  2. Click on “Accounts”
  3. From the “Account Activity Screen”, you can download your transactions
  4. In the “File Format” box, select the “QIF” file type (see screenshot)
  5. Click “Download”
  6. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

Kiwibank

  1. Logon to internet banking at Kiwibank
  2. You should see the “Accounts” page by default. Click on the name of the bank account you wish to export data from (e.g. Business Cheque)
  3. In the “Show transactions from” box near the top, enter the “From” and “To” dates for the period you want to include
  4. Click the “Search/export options” link, near the lower-right of the “To” box (see screenshot)
  5. From the “Export” dropdown menu, select the “Xero / MYOB / Quicken (QIF)” format option (see screenshot)
  6. Click “Export”
  7. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

Westpac

  1. Logon to internet banking at Westpac
  2. You should see the “Accounts” page by default, but if not, click on “Accounts”
  3. Click on the name of the bank account you wish to export data from (see screenshot)
  4. Select “Export Transactions” (see screenshot)
  5. Enter the “From” and “To” dates for the period you want to include
  6. For “Format”, select “QIF dd/mm/yyy”
  7. Click “Export” (see screenshot)
  8. Your web browser may ask you if you want to “Open” or “Save” the file. It’s easiest to simply choose “Open” at which time the QIF file will be downloaded and Cashbook will then automatically import it

Having Technical Problems?
