The only time you would normally need a new code is if you’ve started a new cashbook file from scratch. In that situation, you’ll need to purchase a new registration because the registration works on a per-cashbook file basis.
No – registrations are not transferable. If you register a cashbook data file and eventually stop using it, there’s no way that the registration applicable to that data file can be transferred to a new cashbook file (even if it’s for the same company).
